Scheduling an Action in ArcGIS Pro

One of the great new features introduced in the version 2.5 update for ArcGIS Pro is the ability to set geoprocessing tools to run on a schedule. At the current time, several options are available for scheduling. It allows you to set a one time run of the tool at a specific time, set it to run daily, weekly, or monthly, or every x number of minutes, hours, or days. From the menu, you can also set a start and end date and time for running the tools. This allows for a lot of customization based on your needs.

The ability to schedule updates is easy to find too. Just run whichever geoprocessing tool you’d like to set up and enter all the parameters you need, but instead of clicking on run, this time you’ll be selecting the drop-down arrow next to it. From the drop-down menu there will be an option to schedule. It’s as easy as that!
